The Top Plant-Based Kickstarters Now

February 24, 2017

I love crowdfunding. It is a great opportunity to get involved in a lot of exciting projects at a grassroots level. As Kickstarter and other crowdfunding sites are continually adding projects, I am also going to continue to update my blog with things I think you should take a look at. And if you want your project to be featured, get in touch by leaving a comment below.
Here is a round-up of what is happening at the moment.
Herbert is a neat indoor growing solution. Combining a grow-light and plant pot into a funky photo frame, Herbert helps you grow vertically in order to make the most of space indoors. And if they deliver a product that is anything close to the prototypes, it is going to look amazing!
BloomCatch is a simple idea. How often have you been out and about, spotted a plant, and wanted to identify it? Sure, we can’t all be walking encyclopedias of plant species, so BloomCatch hopes to plug that knowledge gap by creating an app that’ll do the hard work for you. Using the camera on your smartphone, BloomCatch will analyse the image and accurately tell you what plant you are looking at. Now that’s worth an investment, surely…?
Brooklyn Blooms is a simple project. A clearly talented florist wants the funds to put down a lease on a new shop in NYC. I love the simplicity of this and even thought I’m not big on flowers myself, anything that gets more nature into people’s lives cannot be a bad thing. As of now, it is funded, but there are some pretty nice rewards to still check out.
