Sharing Stuff

June 2, 2016

The roof terrace is looking a bit of a mess at the moment. Like most of Europe, it has been raining pretty solidly for the past week or so. Added to that, I’ve been laid up with migraines which have meant that once my work is done (my actual paying job…), I’ve had little time for keeping the check on the garden.

But that said it’s not always all about me. One of the things I like about growing your own vegetables or plants is that you can share. Yesterday, when I finally got outside, I saw that the self-seeded sweet peas have gone bonkers again. I picked off all the flowers and then popped them in a vase for our next door neighbors.

We’ve had about 5 bunches from the small bush of sweet peas, and I thought it would be nice if the neighbors had a chance to have some fresh, homegrown flowers in their home too. So I left them on the matt ready for them to come home to. Its the least we could do, given that they water the plants when we are away.

Anyway, the moral of the story, yay for neighbors, boo for rain.
